Growing the Church

I was reading in Acts 9 recently and it hit me that the church was being built up and that, walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it multiplied. So how can the larger church, those believers in and disciples of Jesus Christ, multiply today? How can I, as a follower of Jesus and one who wants to see as many people come to Him as possible, be a willing participant in that multiplication, especially in this declining culture that is becoming increasingly apathetic at best and hostile at worst environment?

Maybe if the church’s members walk in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit. Am I doing that? Is the fear of the Lord the only fear I’m walking in? Do others see that I’m walking in the comfort of the Holy Spirit or in knots of worry as I’m known to do? What am I showing my child, my neighbors and unbelieving community?
